For Faculty and Staff

Accountable Mail Policy

In an effort to increase our tracking ability of accountable mail on campus, Mail Services staff will be asking for recipient signatures on accountable letters and packages.

Addressing for Inbound Mail and Packages

The address that you give to vendors and individuals sending packages and other mail to you at the University can make a difference in how quickly your mail arrives.

Bulk Mail Processing

Departments using W&L Mail Services to process non-profit bulk mailings (minimum 200 pieces) or first-class presort mailings (minimum 500 pieces) are required to notify mail services by 12:00 Noon on desired mailing date in order to provide Campus Mail Services with time to process the mailing and deliver it to the United States Postal Service by the required time of 2:30 P.M.

Express Shipping Rates

Departments are reminded to include their account number on all shipping due to accurate billing purposes. Faculty and staff are not authorized to use W&L's online shipping accounts for personal packages.

Mail Delivery/Pick-Up Schedule

A central location will be established in each building for mail staff to pick up outgoing mail. Mail not in each building's central drop location by 2:15 pm will be picked up at 9:00 am the following morning (M-F) in the normal locations.

Personal Mail Policy

Mail Services will charge a $2.00 surcharge per personal package sent through our office. Shipping fees and postage must be paid with check or cash only. All personal postage or shipping must be paid by cash or check at the time of shipment.
