Lucinda Roy Addresses Campus Violence Symposium

Lucinda Roy is an alumni distinguished professor of English at Virginia Tech where she tutored Seung-Hui Cho, who killed 32 people in the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. She spoke at a symposium held by the Washington and Lee University School of Law entitled "Violence on Campus: Students Who Are a Danger to Self or Others and Appropriate Institutional Responses" on Nov. 6, 2009.

Roy is the author of No Right to Remain Silent in which she writes about her experiences with Cho and with the investigation into his rampage.

In her presentation, Roy made a series of recommendations for dealing with campus violence.
