Students are welcome to consult any of the deans. In particular, Dean Bell coordinates many undergraduate and post-graduate fellowship applications, works with students in academic difficulty, and collaborates with our colleagues in the Office of Student Affairs on issues of student wellbeing.
Using diverse sources – including archaeological remains, vernacular architecture, oral histories, and historic documents – to ask anthropological questions about 18th-and 19th-century communities in Virginia; particularly interested in questions of consumption, identity, individual agency and structural power.
